Some creations begin with inspiration. Others begin with a gift—one that carries history in its grain and stories in its barrel staves. For Jeremiah and Kassy Reynolds, that gift arrived in the form of Napa Valley wine barrels, sparking an idea that would transform their lives and shape the future of Sono Inspired.
They saw more than just aged wood; they saw craftsmanship, timeworn beauty, and the legacy of artisans who shaped these barrels. Instead of letting them fade into obscurity, they imagined a second life—one where these vessels, once cradling the finest wines, could become creations rich with character, steeped in tradition, and crafted to last for generations.
With careful deconstruction and boundless creativity, Jeremiah and Kassy crafted their very first design—a chandelier that immediately resonated with retailers. Soon after, their Bello Trays became the first pieces they brought to Market in 2013. “Then we designed the Regalo Bowl,” Kassy recalls—Regalo, meaning “gift” in Italian. A tribute, not just to artistry, but to a cherished family friend’s generosity. What a way to honor a gift that sparked a legacy.
What began as an experiment quickly grew into something far greater: a family legacy. Today, nearly every phase of the barrel’s journey carries a Reynolds touch. Their children—Hannah, Dylan, Marian, and Audrey—along with sons-in-law Heath, Adam, and Randy, all contribute to a vision rooted in sustainability, history, and the belief that furniture should hold the essence of the past while serving purpose in the present. Together, they further their mission to repurpose history into something beautiful and enduring. Together, they ensure each piece isn’t just admired—it’s lived with. Together, they create the pieces that become part of homes, gatherings, and traditions.
The name Sono Inspired is more than a brand—it’s a declaration. Sono, the Italian word for “I am,” reflects a commitment that runs deep: I am inspired. I am dedicated. I am honoring craftsmanship. This belief lives in every artful piece they create, preserving the legacy of master coopers, mills, and distillers through thoughtful design.
