Chocolate, at dusk, in the lowlands: the color of turned earth after rain, of river stones gone dark with water. The Tsachila begins there, named for the people of Santo Domingo in western Ecuador, and it carries their lowland warmth in every thread.

Handwoven by artisans in Ecuador from 100 percent recycled acrylic, it measures 92 by 78 inches and reverses for a second look: rich brown and natural tones on one face, deep gold and dark red and gray shifting through the other.

Dry clean only. It settles over shoulders or across a bed like evening itself, unhurried and sure.
